There are two steps to become a licensed soccer referee in Nebraska:

1) Complete the online training course. This course can be completed at your own pace and does not have to be done in one sitting. The online training must be completed first before attending an on-field training session. Use the following link to access the online training platform:

https://learning.ussoccer.com

2) Attend any on-field training session. These sessions are held throughout the year at various locations. Visit the NRDP website for a schedule, or visit the section on this page with details about any training session being hosted by Columbus Soccer Club.

Certified referees are able to referee any youth recreational or club league game or tournament - and get paid for doing so - as long as you have completed the U.S. Soccer referee licensing program.

In Columbus, there are opportunities to referee soccer games throughout the year at all ages and skill levels:

1) Columbus Soccer Club recreational soccer league (up to 18U)

2) Nebraska Youth Soccer League games - Spring and Fall seasons (up to 16U)

3) Columbus Soccer Club tournaments in June & October (7U - 19U)

4) Columbus Adult soccer league (18 & older)

Referees are also able to certify for other levels of competition, including high school and college through their respective governing bodies.
